By train: | From the Nikko station of the Tobu Private Line or JR Nikko station, take a Tobu bus for Kiyotaki/Hosoo or Chuzenji/Yumoto or a Kanto bus for Nishisando (Toshogu) and get off at the Shinkyo Bridge stop (about a 5-minute ride) and walk for about 3 minutes. From the Shinkyo Bridge stop, go across the pedestrian crossing right in front of you to the opposite side of the road. Look up to the right direction while standing on the Nikkobashi Bridge located over the Daiyagawa River parallel with the Shinkyo Bridge and you will see a light-brown building. That is the museum. |
On foot, it is about a 25 to 30 minute walk along Route 119, from each station.
By car: | It is about 2 km away from the Nikko Interchange of the Nikko-Utsunomiya Expressway. You can park your car in the neighboring Nikko Municipal Parking Lot free-of-charge for an hour if you visit the museum. After getting off from the Nikko Interchange, turn left and follow the road, and you come to Route 119. Turn left there and go ahead for a while, and you come to the Nikkobashi Bridge crossing over the Daiyagawa River parallel with the Shinkyo Bridge. Turn to the right at the end of the road and you are almost at the museum. |
